The Perkins' House

Hey everyone, I just got back from a wonderful trip to Wenham, MA to visit my girlfriend, the lovely Ashley Perkins. I took the T and Commuter Rail to Wenham, and it was surprisingly easy. Ashley greeted me as I came off the train and it was wonderful to she her. Then it was off to Courtney's softball game. Miserable weather and mistakes caused the Generals to be beaten but the star of the game was of course Courtney Perkins, who spanked a double to left center, stole a base, and scored one of the two runs in the game. Great Job COURT! That night, we had a spaghetti dinner and Ellen, Jay and Emma joined us. Then we all got together with Mark, Yuki, and Melissa and played ping pong. It was fun. The next day I was going to leave and catch the 9:00 pm train back home, so we went to bed early. (4:30 am is technically early) Anyways, while Ash was taking a shower, I sat and talked with her mom and I guess I solidified the idea to make the computers in her house wireless, so she ran out to Best Buy to get the items and have me hook it up.

I will also take this time to say that I LOVE the Perkins family. Monday night I sat with Mrs. P and we chatted for about an hour, it rocked! Then, Courtney slept on the couch in the livingroom so that I could sleep in her room. Something she definately didn't need to do, but Thank You anyways Court! Mr. P brought down his Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, and Hank Aaron autographs so that I could see them. I smiled the entire time and i actually held a Ted Williams autograph in my hand! It was amazing!

So anyways, Ashley and I went over to the Brainards to babysit their 3 uber-cute kids. Although they seemed shy because they didnt know me, they were still very funny and of course...cute. Well Ash took them upstairs to get them ready for bed and I waited downstairs. Then it occured to me that Court needed the computer done so she could do her homework. So I went back to Ash's house and started working on the Wireless Project at 7:35. Well many frustrations later, I finally get it installed only to find out Ashley's Laptop apperently doesn't have the Wireless Function. Next, I started working on Courts computer and there is still something wrong. Well 11:45 rolls around and Ashley had to pull me away from the computers to make me stop and have something to eat. Now I will add that while I was doing this, Meghan Elizabeth Flynn came over and made "Tek Crew" shirts that came out amazingly, and will look WAY TOO HOTT on Ashley. (For legal reasons I am not allowed to say that Meghan will look WAY TOO HOTT as well. :P ) So at 12 we headed out to Denny's and got some food before heading back to Ashley's for the night. I kinda killed the "Girl's Only" sleepover, so I went to bed and fell asleep right away, I was a little tired. The girls stayed up until 6 o'clock doing what girls do best.....naked pillow fights.

Well that brings me to today. I woke up and jumped on the train so I could make it to the dentist at 2:00. Then, when I came back, I got a phone call from an old friend named Pat McCloud. It was SO amazing to hear from him and it really made me realize that I should try and make contact with a lot of old friends that i haven't talked to in awhile. If your reading this, go and call someone that you haven't talked to in awhile, because talking to Pat made my day, and I'm sure there is someone out there that you have lost contact with and they would love to hear from you!

Star Wars Marathon

Yes folks, We did it. Nick and I choose to watch all SIX Star Wars movies on Thursday. We started at 11:00 and watched the first two movies, then at 6:30 we went to Randolph to see the Digital presentation of Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. This is one of the most amazing Star Wars movies out there because it ties everything together and changes your perception of almost every character in the other movies. Well then we went back to Nick's house and finished up the last three movies and when 4:18 am rolled around....we finished. This was a long and tiring night (yes i know i'm a loser but you try and watch 6 movies in a row), but it was worth it. I have a new appreciation for the Star Wars movies and if anyone out there has been avoiding the new movies, i suggets u go out and see them all.

Anyways, there is not much more to report, seeing as i spent the last 15 hours watching movies. But I'm going to band practice soon. Until then of course, i will plat OREGON TRAIL on my computer!! Yea i found a site that offers the OLD SCHOOL version of it!

Home For the Summer

Well folks, Greg Walsh is back in Weymouth, MA.

It's finally starting to hit me that I can't just walk to all my RWU friends anymore. No longer am I able to call Ashley, Jenn, Jena, Erin, Andrew, Greg, Kevin, The Stonewallians, or anyone else and just say: "Hey, Lunch at 1, you in?" But worst of all, I can't wake up to Stephen Edward Rand anymore. I don't hear the sound of Zelda coming from the T.V. I don't hear him seducing me with his melodious guitar playing. And I don't have to announce when I am going to shave. These thoughts have been swarming around in my head for awhile so I gave into the trend and started a Web Journal. I figure this way, everyone will know what I am doing and what has been going on in my life. And of course it will make the lives of my stalkers a lot easier.

Anyways, like i said, I am back in East Weymouth, MA. The Home of Greg Walsh. Weymouth is a quite and boring town/city. (We are a town, yet we have a mayor.) And with me having no car, I am forced to stay inside a lot of the time, which has it's perks. Well i haven't really done much since being home. I spent some time with my best friend Nick Pistorino (funny story...stay tuned). I was able to see the lovely Ashley Perkins. And I am enjoying my time with my family.
Funny Story. It was a Thursday Night. Nick picks me up at my house and we head to Quincy to the Hotel de Pistorino's. After an amazing game of MVP Baseball 2005, we both realized we are very hungry. Bickford's it is. So we hop in his car to go to the 24 hour Bickford's Restaurant in Braintree. We come off the highway and bang a U-ey and head toward Bickford's. Just then sirens flip on....busted. We pull over just in front of Bickfords and await the cops. I stopped at the ATM before this and forgot to put my seatbelt back on. So I reach for the seatbelt to try and put it on and discover that it is stuck in the door. That's a $50.00 fine right there. Click It or Ticket everyone! The police officer finally comes over and gets the license and registration from Nick. Then he turns to me. "What were you reaching for when I pulled you over?" ...."Oh..my seatbelt officer. Yea i forgot to put it on. I'm sorry." Long story short, because i reached for something he thought I was hiding something. So Nick and I are standing on the sidewalk while one officer searches the car. His partner is standing with us and starts small talking. "College kids?" "Yup" Then the officer notices Nick's "Hello My Name Is...." sticker Nick had on his shirt as a joke. "Hello.....Scott Bacula? The Quantum Leap Guy!?" Nick:" Yes! No one ever knows who he is!" ........10 minutes later........ Cop: "Yea he was in other things too....good stuff."
Well this made our night, Nick got off with a written warning for going 40mph in a 20mph zone. And he didn't say anything about me not wearing a seatbelt. So all in all it was a very commical night and makes for a great story.

So that Saturday, Ashley came to my house for our 6 month anniversary. We got lunch, watched some movies, watched 2 Micheal Jackson History DVD's that someone bought for me! :) Then, the romantic side of Greg showed up. I cooked dinner for Ashley and we had a candlelight meal until we were both stuffed. Great meal if i do say so myself....steve. Anyways, we eventually went to sleep and then watched The Incredibles the next day, but sadly the Lovely Ms. Perkins had to depart. But it was sooooo nice to spend some time with her and we had a great weekend. On a side note: I can not believe it has been 6 months. They flew by!! But never have I ever felt this way about someone, and never has anyone made me feel so appreciated. Every moment i get to spend with her is amazing and I am truly lucky to be with her.

Well, other then that, my first week home has been dull but relaxing. The only other news I have is that Nick, his brother Chuck, and I have formed a band, "Chuck and The Wet Bandits". We will be playing on Sunday June 26th and our set list will include various Classic Rock songs. This concert is a Must See because it could be the last time we preform in concert. More information will be given once i know, but i would love to see everyone there.

Well that just about does it for this entry. I will try and post as often as possible, but I am pretty boring at times! Anyways, check back here often and feel free to drop me a line whenever you feel like it!

I'm Greg Walsh, and you keep rocking in the free world!
