R-Dubs Weekend In Maine

Howdy folks! Long time no see, why u ask? Well I have been too busy having fun with the some of the greatest people on Earth! I Just spent 6 wonderful days with my R-Dubbers (missing a few) and it was everything I thought it could be. So here is the summary:

Thursday: I venture to Wenham, MA to meet with Ashley and after mini-golf with Ellen, Jay and Emma, we watched Surf Ninja's and spend the night at her house.

Friday: 8am: Ash and I hit the road for "Paradise". We arrived at 11:30 and then stocked up for the weekend. While waiting for everyone to come, Ashley made the greatest suggestion in the world....."Let's take a nap." It was glorious! Anyways, around 6 everyone showed up and the fun began. Willams and I went fishing in the canoe and we were fine until we finished, got to the dock, and I tried to get out. The boat drifted away from the dock and in slow motion I saw my fate, so I gave in and just jumped into the water. Much to the delight of everyone there, I fell in the water getting out of a canoe. OK? Happy? :P

So after I dried off, we started the fire and sat around making smores and did....nothing. It was amazing, but it started to rain. So we went in for the night and watched the Lion King....yea...we are that cool bitches! Then it was bed time and everyone grabbed what they could for a makeshift bed and passed out.

Saturday: We woke up and I cooked my specialty, French Toast and Bacon (with the help of my lovely assistant Meghan Elizabeth Flynn!) and Ashley made scrambled eggs and toast for everyone as well.We enjoyed the meal before heading out to the lake for the day. After cruising around on the boat and tubing for the afternoon, Ricky, Willams, and I went fishing while the womenfolk cooked supper and put up the tent. (thank you girls for doing everything! We owe ya one!) Yes it was very stereotypical and sexist and we enjoyed it! :P After we docked, and got out, and I didn't fall in, we had delicious cheeseburgers and dogs cooked by Ashley (not sure who helped, but I know other people did). After dinner we played a little wiffleball and then retired to the campfire where everyone just sat around and did whatever they wanted, while listening to the lovely background music provided by the talented Christopher Guy Williams. Once we had our fill, we retreated to the tent and quietly went to bed......that is until a massive pillow fight started and everyone in the tent attacked each other! So after we tired ourselves out, one by one we went to sleep and woke up to the sweet melodious sounds of chainsaws and hammers because Ashley's aunt's camp was getting new siding.

Sunday: After a glorious meal of Fruit Loops, we attempted to play Trivial pursuit but gave up because Ricky had to leave. And the domino effect took place. We all started packing and cleaned up our mess. Before we knew it, our vacation was over. But not before a few goodbyes and a lot of laughs.

It was great to see everyone, Ricky, Erin, Julia, Jenn, Meghan, Willams, and Ashley. They all made me realize how lucky I am that I went to school and found an AMAZING group of friends (including Nick and my home friends) that have allowed me to be who I am and have really brought out the best in me.

Well my vacation wasn't quite over, I stayed with Ashley for the next few days but eventually had to go home.

As I close, I leave you with these pics from the weekend, cuz it's true, Pictures worth a thousand words:
