Sometimes You Just Need A Cookie

My kick ass job.

, Ok so by writing this, i am probably putting the nail in my own coffin. All of my arch-ie friends will hate me more then they already do and some people might just hate me. But i don't care, because i want to shout this from the top of a mountain!!

I have a Kick Ass Job!!

So here is the run down. My dad likes to drink, he likes to drink at a place called the Red Rose. It is there, that my dad hangs out with his friend Jim. Through many ramblings, Jimbo (yes that is his nickname, how cool is that??!!??) heard about all of my Boy Scout adventures and wanted to be an active role in my Eagle Scout Project. He was EXTREMELY generous and funded the whole thing (over $6,000.00!!)

So this winter Jim came to me and told me that his work hires students for the summer and i told him i was interested. So that is basically the last thing i did to get this job. I sent my resume to Jim and next thing i know, i have a 40 hour a week job earning $12.95 an hour. I can go in anytime from 6:30-9:30 and leave anywhere from 3:30-5:30 depending on when i go in. I get a paid half hour of lunch, and Jim picks me up and drives me to work and back everyday.

Ok, so are you seeing how kick ass this job is? Yea i thought so.

So today was my first day, and Jim led me to.....MY CUBICLE!!! Thats right, i have a fucking cubicle the size of Stonewall 2333....ALL TO MYSELF!!! How much does that rock!! Granted all the cubicles are open on both sides so people can walk through them, but i dont really care...i have a cubicle!! After showing me my desk, Jim said he had to introduce me to my boss, so he told me to follow him, he then sat down in his chair, spun around and goes, "Hello Greg, I'm your boss." Classic. So yea, now Jimbo is my boss and So i fiddled around with AutoCad for about an hour, filled out a bizillion papers (i'm working for the government, so they want to know everything), and wasted time talking to Jim for about an hour, and then i finally sat down and and started working. After lunch, i continued working on AutoCad and finished my first drawing within the hour! So i started working on my second drawing until it was time to go home.
So here i am, for the second day in a row....im writing about my kick ass job. Today was a lot cooler, because it was my first full day of work, so i got a taste for what i would be doing this summer.......and it rocks!

Heh, yup i finished up the two remaining drawings from yesterday,had some lunch, fell asleep twice, surfed the net, cleaned up my cubicle, and then Jimbo finally gave me some work. I had to edit a previous electrical diagram and by doing so, i got to put my name down on the document as a editor of it. So that rocks!!

Well now i am home at 4:00 and i have the rest of the afternoon to relax and unwind. Especially after my tough tough day where i didnt really have to work that hard and got paid $104.00.....yup....im happy.
